“ | Can you please call me a nurse? I was meant to take some painkillers this morning, but nobody came by to give them to me. | ” |
— Anthony to the Volunteers Fighting Disease

Anthony V. Beveldwuge[1] is a patient at Heimlich Hospital. He is seen by Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire as they hide among the Volunteers Fighting Disease in order to search every room of the hospital.
Biography[]
He was taken to Heimlich Hospital sometime before the Baudelaire orphans arrived there. He was kept in a bed bound by many casts in his room. When the Volunteers Fighting Disease arrive at his room, he asks them to call a nurse as he was meant to have been given painkillers, but unfortunately, not one medical professional came by his room to do so. To add salt in the wound, the Volunteers reply that they were too busy since they have to visit every room. In other words, they ignore his cry for help and instead resumed singing their cheerful tone.
Later on, when the fire at the hospital had taken place, he can briefly be seen in the background being carried away by doctors.
Behind the scenes[]
He is played by Peter Grant in the Netflix TV series adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events. His name can only be seen on the Volunteers' patient list.
