"Non-canon" stories are those which are outside of the scope of the Snicket "canon", defined here based on the level of involvement of Lemony Snicket or Daniel Handler. These stories are deemed valid sources for in-universe articles on wiki.
Specifically, all books by Snicket set in the ASOUE universe (A Series of Unfortunate Events/All the Wrong Questions) are considered valid here, as is the Netflix-produced ASOUE series.
Some other adaptations, like the 2004 film and video game, are considered non-canon, as are some in-character Netflix-produced shorts and advertisements, like An Unfortunate Actor on Acting.
