|“||As I was saying, we're taking a family vacation to the bottom of the sea to hunt orphans, which is a normal activity that many families do.||”|
The Dad is a disguise that Count Olaf uses in Netfix's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
First, Count Olaf uses it when attempting to hire a submarine with Esmé Squalor, Carmelita Spats and Fernald, The Hook-Handed Man (pretending to be a Normal Happy Family) before finding out that the Man with a Beard but No Hair and the Woman with Hair but No Beard already made one for Esmé.
Olaf, Esmé and Carmelita again pretend to be a family at the Hotel Denouement.
He wears a Hawaiian shirt with his hair combed flat to his forehead and glasses. He has a camera around his neck, with brown shorts and socks pulled up to his knees. He speaks with a voice in between the way Stephano and Detective Dupin speak.
"In the third season, Olaf disguises himself as a tourist Dad on a family Vacation with high-waisted pants and a fanny pack and glasses and a comb-over. The voice is reminiscent of Eguene Levy with a little Barry Sonnenfeld sprinkled in." - Neil Patrick Harris about Dad.
