First, Count Olaf uses it when attempting to hire a submarine with Esmé Squalor, Carmelita Spats and Fernald, The Hook-Handed Man (pretending to be a Normal Happy Family) before finding out that the Man with a Beard but No Hair and the Woman with Hair but No Beard already made one for Esmé.
The Penultimate Peril: Part One
Olaf, Esmé and Carmelita again pretend to be a family at the Hotel Denouement.
Physical Appearance
He wears a Hawaiian shirt with his hair combed flat to his forehead and glasses. He has a camera around his neck, with brown shorts and socks pulled up to his knees. He speaks with a voice in between the way Stephano and Detective Dupin speak.
