Klaus and Sunny disguise themselves as Dr. Faustus so they could walk around Heimlich Hospital freely without being caught looking for Violet. Sunny is strapped to Klaus with bandages and hidden with a doctors coat, Klaus also wears a beard to cover his face.
He claims to be a doctor at Heimlich Hospital, who studied at Oxford.
Count Olaf selects him to cut off Violet‘s head, but he stalls. Later, his disguise is revealed and Klaus and Sunny run with Violet. They are accused of being arsonists by Mattathias and manage to escape the burning hospital.
- "Doctor Faustus" is a reference to a play, The Tragical History of the Life of Death of Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe, written sometime in 1589-1592.
