Count Olaf: Tell me, truck driver, you're sure there were three of them?
Evander: I'm sure I'm sure. A tall girl, a boy with glasses and a little baby who I think bit a hole in my spare tire.
Count Olaf: And did they seem like orphans with an enormous fortune?
Evander: I don't know about that. They snuck into my truck and I threw 'em out maybe 2.5 miles outside of Paltryville, like I told you.
—"The Miserable Mill: Part One"

Evander, or Truck Driver, is a minor character shown in The Wide Window: Part Two and The Miserable Mill: Part One. He is played by Keith Blackman Dallas. The Baudelaire orphans sneak into the bed of his truck to get a ride to Lucky Smells Lumbermill. He later catches them and throws them out of his truck around 2.5 miles outside of Paltryville. Later, he gives Olaf a ride to Paltryville, providing him with information about the Baudelaires. Olaf repeatedly calls him ''truck driver''. He then rewards Evander with an empty candy wrapper.
