As I was saying, we're taking a family vacation to the bottom of the sea to hunt orphans, which is a normal activity that many families do.

Count Olaf disguised as Dad, "The Grim Grotto: Part One"

The Tourist Dad is a disguise that Count Olaf uses in "The Grim Grotto: Part One" and "The Penultimate Peril: Part One".

History[]

Count Olaf uses this diguise when attempting to hire a submarine with Esmé Squalor, Carmelita Spats and Fernald, pretending to be a Normal Happy Family looking for a vacation hunting orphans. The Submarine Rental Worker doesn't seem to buy it, but still gives them a submarine, as the Man with a Beard but No Hair and the Woman with Hair but No Beard have already rented one for Esmé.[1]

Olaf, Esmé and Carmelita again pretend to be a family at the Hotel Denouement while checking into the lobby and arguing.[2]

Physical Appearance[]

In the third season, Olaf disguises himself as a tourist Dad on a family Vacation with high-waisted pants and a fanny pack and glasses and a comb-over. The voice is reminiscent of Eugene Levy with a little Barry Sonnenfeld sprinkled in.

He wears a Hawaiian shirt with his hair combed flat to his forehead and glasses. He has a camera around his neck, with brown shorts and socks pulled up to his knees. He speaks with a voice in between the way Stephano and Detective Dupin speak.
