Justice Strauss' house is a location that first appears in The Bad Beginning. It is situated in the city, on the opposite side of the street from Count Olaf's house. The house boasts well-cleaned bricks and many well-groomed plants; a stark contrast to Olaf's dirty, dilapidated house.
The house features a library where the Baudelaires find a cook book for puttanesca sauce and where Klaus Baudelaire finds a book on nuptial laws, which helps him discover Olaf's plan to marry Violet Baudelaire.
Due to Justice Strauss's unknown fate in the Hotel Denouement fire, it is unknown of the fate of the house as well.
