Justice Strauss's house first appears in The Bad Beginning. It is situated in the city, on the opposite side of the street from Count Olaf's House.[1]
The house features a library where the Baudelaires find a cook book for puttanesca sauce and where Klaus finds a book on nuptial laws, which helps him discover Olaf's plan to marry Violet.[1] It is also featured in the film adaption although the interior is never shown as the Baudelaires never enter the house, unlike in the first book.[2]
Due to Justice Strauss's unknown fate in the Hotel Denouement fire, it is unknown of the fate of the house as well.
