Larry Your-Waiter runs into Olivia Caliban and expresses sympathy for the disregard shown to her by Vice Principal Nero, before requesting directions to the Baudelaires; to evade her suspicions, he pretends to be a cafeteria worker. Carmelita Spats then arrives and, angered at Larry's attention, kicks him in the shins, which causes him to knock over Olivia's cart and drop his copy of The Incomplete History of Secret Organizations.[1]
