Last Chance General Store is a general store located in the Hinterlands which is practically in the middle of nowhere. They do have a telegram service though.

History

The Baudelaires stop there when they escape the Village of Fowl Devotees, and from there they attempt to send a telegram to Mr. Poe.

The owner of the store is Milt. When the Baudelaires come, he bakes them cranberry muffins. He does not charge the Volunteers Fighting Disease. When a newspaper from The Daily Punctilio talking about the Baudelaires "murdering" Count Olaf arrives, the Baudelaires hide in the vehicle of the Volunteers Fighting Disease when Milt recognizes them.
