Last Chance General Store
Last Chance General Store is a general store practically in the middle of nowhere. They do have a telegram service though. The Baudelaire's stop there when they escape the Village of Fowl Devotees, and from there they attempt to send a telegram to Mr. Poe.
The owner of the store is Milt. When the Baudelaire's come he bakes them cranberry muffins. He does not charge the Volunteers Fighting Disease.[source needed]
