The Lucky Smells Library is the library at Lucky Smells Lumbermill. It is the library featured in The Miserable Mill.
Description[]
The library was created at the insistence of Charles, one of the few things Sir allowed him to do. It is situated down the hall from Sir's office.
It is a large room, filled with elegant wooden bookshelves and comfortable-looking sofas. One wall includes a row of windows, letting in light, and another wall has a row of landscape paintings. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding for books, only three donations are included.
The library was visited by Violet Baudelaire in attempt to research the ailment of her brother, Klaus. Much later, Shirley and Flacutono were kept prisoner there as a substitute jail, guarded by Phil.[1]
Known Books[]
- Advanced Ocular Science (donated by Georgina Orwell)
- The History of Lucky Smells Lumbermill (donated by Sir)
- The Paltryville Constitution (donated by the mayor)
Netflix Series Divergent Canon[]
In the Netflix adaptation, Charles added the library in attempt to boost morale. It is filled with books, but only several copies of the same book- The History of Lucky Smells Lumbermill. Violet Baudelaire searches through the books in attempt to find the source of the Paltryville fire. The only other book included is a Verified Functional Dictionary which Bertrand Baudelaire had written in.[2]
