— Nordoff chastising Friday Caliban for wanting to know how to read
|
Madame Nordoff is an islander in The End.
In the scavenge hunt, she found a checkerboard. According to Finn and Erewhon, Finn secretly taught her how to yodel, in exchange for supplying them with batteries.
She can be viewed as a hypocrite, because when Friday Caliban is called out for secretly reading, Madame Nordoff scolds her for it, despite that Nordoff is secretly yodeling. Dr. Kurtz somehow knows Nordoff is secretly yodelling and calls her out for it.
When Count Olaf said that there was a difference between him and Ishmael, she guessed, "Eyeliner?"
Etymology
She is probably named after Charles Nordhoff, co-author of Mutiny on the Bounty.
