Margaux Kent is an illustrator, thing maker, story gatherer, and wanderer. She co-founded Peg and Awl with her husband. They live in West Chester, Pennsylvania with their two boys, their dog, and a variety of other creatures.


Early Life[]

Margaux Kent remembers always loving art. At the age of six, she would write books, and even sold paintings for a nickel a piece around the neighborhood.[1]

She started keeping a journal as a twelve-year-old. Later in life, she saw Instagram as an extension of this.

Career[]

Margaux Kent co-founded Peg and Awl, with her husband Walter.

Poison for Breakfast was the first book she was ever hired to illustrate, and she was absolutely thrilled about it. When she first heard about it, she didn't believe it and sent a message to her friend, asking if it was for real.

Family Life[]

Margaux Kent lives with her husband, Walter Kent, together, they have two boys, Søren and Silas. Both of them are homeschooled, Margaux described homeschooling as "We play lots of the day."[2]
