I never trusted those kids. They didn't do a very good job when they trimmed my hedges.

— Mrs. Morrow regarding the Baudelaires

Mrs. Morrow is an antagonistic citizen from the Village of Fowl Devotees in The Vile Village.

The Vile Village

She is seen at Town Hall when the Baudelaires arrive wearing a pink bathrobe. She is one of the several people who do not want the Baudelaires living with her, and shows her dislike for them by making them, along with Hector, trim her hedges.

She is the one who delivers the news about Jacques Snicket's mysterious death, whom she thinks is Count Olaf.

Following the murder of Jacques, Mrs. Morrow demands that the Baudelaires, who are innocent, be burned at the stake for the crime after Count Olaf in the alias of Detective Dupin accuses them of the crime. She was present when Esmé Squalor in the alias of Officer Luciana used a Harpoon gun in violation of the "no mechanical devices" rule and when Count Olaf's identity was exposed. After Count Olaf gets away after it was discovered that Officer Luciana injured a crow, Mrs. Morrow and the villagers get the injured crow to the veterinarian before they can resume their plans to burn the Baudelaires at the stake. This gave the Baudelaires the opportunity to get away.

The Penultimate Peril

Mrs. Morrow reappears in The Penultimate Peril as one of the guests at Hotel Denouement. She is woken up by a shot from the harpoon gun that killed Dewey Denouement. When Charles states to Sir that Count Olaf was the one who caused accidents at the Lucky Smells Lumbermill, Mrs. Morrow claims that Count Olaf was the Baudelaires' victim where they claimed that he was "murdered" by the Baudeleaires while Mr. Lesko thought the man that died in their village was "Count Omar." She submits constitutions to be used as evidence at the trial for the Baudelaires and Count Olaf. When the Hotel Denouement Fire is started, Mrs. Morrow was last seen on one of the floors arguing with Mr. Lesko. It remains unknown whether she survived the fire that destroyed the hotel or perished along with it.

TV series

Mrs. Morrow appears in the TV series. Larry the Waiter mentioned that he knew Mrs. Morrow and her mother from book club. Mrs. Morrow claims that it's now a magazine club and she hates magazines.

In the TV series adaptation of The Carnivorous Carnival, Mrs. Morrow, Mr. Lesko, and other village residents go to Caligari Carnival to watch someone be eaten by lions in "The Carnivorous Carnival: Part Two." She and Mr. Lesko have no dialogue in this appearance.

Behind the scenes

She is portrayed by Lossen Chambers in the TV series.
