O. Lucafont is a disguise used by the The Hook-Handed Man in the books and by the Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender in the TV series.

Books

The Reptile Room

After losing possession of the Baudelaire orphans, Count Olaf continues to pursue them in an attempt to gain their enormous fortune, following them to the home of the herpetologist Dr. Montgomery Montgomery and disguising himself as the latter's new assistant, Stephano, before murdering him and framing the Mamba du Mal. However, before he can leave with the children, Arthur Poe arrives and the police are called. But, instead of the police, the Hook-Handed Man does, disguised as Dr. O. Lucafont and wearing fake plastic hands. Sunny Baudelaire soon manages to reveal the disguise by biting off one of the fake hands.

The Hostile Hospital

At Heimlich Hospital, the Hook-Handed Man is disguised as Dr. O. Lucafont, while Count Olaf is disguised as the head of human resources, Mattathias, the Bald Man is disguised as Dr. Flacutono, the White-Faced Women are disguised as Nurse Flo and Doctor Tocuna and the Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender is disguised as a security guard.

Dr. Flacutono and Dr. O Lucafont attempt to perform the world's first cranioectomy on Violet Baudelaire, who they are pretending is a patient named Laura V. Bleediotie, along with a doctor (named Dr. Faustus in the TV series), who is really Klaus Baudelaire and has been forced to help with the operation by Olaf. However, Klaus manages to stall and Violet is saved, but soon Esmé Squalor burns down the hospital and the villains abandon their disguises and flee.

Here I am, Nurse Lucafont.

— The Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender disguised as Lucafont in the TV series

In the Netflix TV series adaptation of The Reptile Room, Dr. O. Lucafont is replaced by Nurse Lucafont, who, instead of the Hook-Handed Man, is really the Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender in disguise. The Hook-Handed Man is still disguised as a detective, using the same disguise as in the books, but without the name.

Similarly, in the TV series adaptation of The Hostile Hospital, the alias is once again used by the Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender. The Hook-Handed Man instead uses the alias of Dr. Flacutono in the series.
