The Screeching Iguana is a species of iguana that was kept in Monty Montgomery's Reptile Room.
Description[]
The Screeching Iguana has a very specific call, for which it is named after, that is very loud and piercing. It is a very pale green, with orange tips on its spikes, claws, and flap.
A specimen of the iguana was kept in Monty Montgomery's Reptile Room. When Count Olaf threatened the Baudelaire children, the iguana screeched at him and leapt on him to attack.[1]
Montgomery also had a Screeching Iguana Clock, which sounded its call to mark the hour.[2]
