The Squalor library is a large and comfortable room, with hundreds of books on its shelves. However, it is very neat and dusty, as it is hardly used. Unfortunately for everyone but Esmé Squalor, all the books in the library are simply catalogues of In items throughout history. They are considered to be quite boring, and the books are placed in tidy rows to gather dust.

The library is directly beside a bedroom that was temporarily inhabited by Klaus Baudelaire, and used mainly to scour the In Auction Catalogue left there by Gunther.
