Timothy Spall OBE is an English actor from Battersea, London who trained at the National Youth Theatre and RADA.
Biography
Initially famous in the U.K. for playing the gormless Barry in the first two series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, he has since starred in the film Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and played Peter Pettigrew (a.k.a. Wormtail) in the Harry Potter film series.
In 1996 Spall was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, but has been in remission for 10 years as of 2006. He is married and has three children. Mercedes, Pascale and Rafe, who is also an actor.
