The snake is a dark red with off-white markings. and sharp fangs in each head.
A specimen of the snake was kept in Monty Montgomery's Reptile Room and shown to the Baudelaire children. Klaus Baudelaire recognized it, and when Violet Baudelaire questioned its gender, Montgomery replied that he didn't find it polite to ask.[1]
