Who I Am

My name is Ava Maria. I am a Volunteer.

A reproduction of the eye the librarian showed me.

Once, I walked into my school library to check out a book. The librarian looked up from her desk when I came to check out my book, and she said something very strange to me: "Well, young lady, have you been good to your mother?" Having read Lemony Snicket's books, I knew how to respond: "The question is, has she been good to me?" Instantly, the librarian pulled me into her office and showed me an insignia, seen at right. Ever since, I have been trained in writing and recording by someone who is an expert on such matters.

I take inspiration from two noble women who never knew each other, and are very different, but have many admirable qualities. They were both once volunteers in one way or another. I have even met one of them, even though it was very brief. We passed on the street. She was on her way back to her hometown after staying in the City for a week or so. I hope to see her again someday.

The reason I have begun editing this wiki is to provide some answers and help make sense of some of the mysteries I have yet to figure out. I hope that I can be of some help, and that we can make things right in the world.

The world is quiet here.

If there was nothing out there, what was that noise?

Is that a typewriter you're carrying?

Can you type something up for me, then?

What are you doing?

What is going on?

Where does this trapdoor lead?

What is that symbol?

How does this alarm work?

Why do you ask?

If you're in a hurry, why are you walking slowly?

Who are you, exactly?
