V.F.D. is a three–letter acronym that is used extensively throughout A Series of Unfortunate Events, most notably for the secret organization the Volunteer Fire Department.

- Valorous Farms Dairy – the farm where Lemony Snicket was born. It is also the backdrop of a holiday message from the TV series.[1]
